Commission proposes that Judges Alina Gorceac and Viorelia Grigoraș pass the external evaluation

The Judicial Vetting Commission today submitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) the evaluation reports concerning Judges Alina Gorceac and Viorelia Grigoraș of the Chișinău Court, recommending that they pass the external evaluation.

The two judges were evaluated in connection with their work on judicial panels that examined corruption and corruption-related cases.

The review of the relevant information raised no concerns regarding their financial or ethical integrity. During the hearings, both judges confirmed the accuracy and veracity of the information provided throughout the evaluation process, and no additional clarifications were required.

The SCM will examine the reports and decide whether to accept or reject them.

At this stage, the reports are not public. The evaluation results are available on the Commission’s website under the “Subjects of evaluation” section, while the reports will be published at a later stage in accordance with the law.
