The Judicial Vetting Commission will hold a new round of public hearings early next week. The hearings will address two cases referred to the Commission for re-evaluation by the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM), as well as the case of a judge from the Cahul Court of Appeal, who has been invited once again to appear before the full Commission after the initial evaluation panel was unable to reach consensus.
This round will also include the hearing of a lawyer running for membership in the Selection and Evaluation Board of Judges within the SCM, as well as a vice-president of a first instance court.
Before the hearings begin, subjects may, in accordance with procedure, request access to all case materials collected by the Commission throughout the evaluation. Requests must be submitted electronically, and the evaluation files include all gathered information, including citizens’ petitions.

• 15:00 – Dorina Croitor, judge, former acting Vice President of Strășeni District Court
• 15:30 – Denis Lesnic, lawyer, candidate for membership in the Selection and Evaluation Board of Judges
