Evaluation completed for Judge Veronica Cupcea, Acting President of the Orhei District Court

The Judicial Vetting Commission has completed the evaluation procedure in respect of Judge Veronica Cupcea, Acting President of the Orhei District Court, and has today transmitted the corresponding report to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM).

According to the conclusions of the report, Judge Veronica Cupcea does not meet the statutory integrity criteria and, therefore, does not pass the evaluation.

In accordance with the legal procedure, the SCM will examine the evaluation report and decide whether to accept or reject the Commission’s recommendation.

Based on the interpretation of the Constitutional Court, evaluation reports become public within three days after the expiration of the appeal period or following the issuance of a final decision by the Supreme Court of Justice.

At this stage, the only information available to the public is the result of the evaluation, published on the Commission’s website under the “Subjects” section.
