2026-01-22

The Judicial Vetting Commission has completed the evaluation of Judge Mihail Bușuleac, former Acting President and Deputy President of the Cahul Court. According to the conclusions of the evaluation report prepared by the Commission and submitted today to the Superior Council of Magistracy, Judge Mihail Bușuleac did not pass the external integrity evaluation.

The decision was adopted by Panel C of the Commission, which found that the judge does not meet the integrity criteria set out in Law No. 252/2023. In accordance with the legal procedure, the Superior Council of Magistracy will examine the evaluation report and decide whether to accept or reject the Commission’s recommendation.

At this stage, the evaluation reports are not public, based on the interpretation of the Constitutional Court. The only information available to the public is the evaluation result, published on the Commission’s website under the “Subjects” section. The evaluation report becomes public after it is examined by the Superior Council of Magistracy and only upon the expiration of the appeal period or following a final decision of the Supreme Court of Justice.
