Commission submits evaluation report on Judge Elizaveta Buzu to the SCM

The Judicial Vetting Commission has completed the evaluation of Judge Elizaveta Buzu of the Chișinău Court, who serves on specialized panels handling corruption cases, and has submitted the evaluation report prepared by Panel F to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM).

Following the evaluation, Panel F proposed that Judge Elizaveta Buzu pass the external evaluation.

The report sets out the panel’s findings and the reasoning underpinning its recommendation.

The SCM will now examine the report and decide whether to accept or reject the Commission’s recommendation.

At this stage, the report is not public. It will be made public once the statutory deadline for challenging it has expired or, if the report is challenged, after the Supreme Court of Justice issues a final ruling.
