Preliminary evaluation result: non-promotion for Judge Petru Triboi, Interim President of Ungheni Court

2025-12-10

The Judicial Vetting Commission has proposed to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) that Judge Petru Triboi, Interim President of Ungheni Court, should not pass the external integrity evaluation. Following the evaluation process, the Commission determined that the judge does not meet the financial integrity criteria established by the regulatory framework.

The non-promotion proposal, together with the relevant facts and the reasons underlying this conclusion, is included in the evaluation report approved by the Commission and submitted today to the SCM for review and adoption of a final decision. In accordance with the procedure, the SCM will examine the document in a session and decide whether to accept or reject the Commission’s recommendation.

At this stage, the Commission’s evaluation reports are not public, based on the Constitutional Court’s interpretation. The only information accessible to the public is the preliminary evaluation result, available on the Commission’s website under the “Subjects” section. The report shall be made public only upon the expiration of the contestation period or following the issuance of a final decision by the Supreme Court of Justice.
