Three evaluation reports submitted to the SCM for review

The Judicial Evaluation Commission has completed the evaluation procedure for three judges and approved the corresponding reports, which were submitted today to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) for review and final decision-making.

Following the evaluation, the Commission found that Judge Sofia Ghidirim (Aramă) of the Cimișlia Court did not pass the evaluation, and Judge Radu Țurcanu of the Chișinău Court likewise did not pass the evaluation. At the same time, Judge Sergiu Stratan of the Chișinău Court, Buiucani headquarters — and candidate for the position of Justice at the Supreme Court of Justice — passed the evaluation.

In accordance with the procedure, the SCM will examine the reports in a public hearing and decide whether to accept or reject them.

Based on the interpretation of the Constitutional Court, the evaluation reports are not public at this stage. The only information accessible to the public is the evaluation outcome, published on the Commission’s website under the “Subjects” section.

The reports become public within three days after the expiration of the appeal period or following a final decision by the Supreme Court of Justice.
