Recommendation to pass the evaluation for SCJ candidates Elena Croitor and Oxana Parfeni

The Judicial Vetting Commission has today submitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy the evaluation reports of the candidates for the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice, Elena Croitor and Oxana Parfeni, recommending that both pass the evaluation.

The candidates recently participated in public hearings conducted by the Commission in accordance with the applicable legal framework. Following the review of the information collected and verified, the Commission concluded that there are no concerns regarding the financial or ethical integrity of either candidate, as defined under Law No. 65/2023.

The Superior Council of Magistracy will now review the findings and reasoning presented in the evaluation reports and determine whether to accept or reject the recommendations. Within three days of the adoption of the Council’s motivated decisions, the Commission will publish the reports on its official website (www.vettingmd.eu), in accordance with the applicable legal and procedural framework.
