September round of hearings concludes with the hearing of Judge Corneliu Guzun

Judge Corneliu Guzun, former Vice President of the Chișinău Court (Rîșcani office), was heard by Panel D of the Judicial Vetting Commission as part of the re-evaluation procedure ordered by the Superior Council of Magistracy, following the rejection of the initial evaluation report.

The hearing addressed matters related to financial and ethical integrity, including circumstances concerning potentially unjustified wealth, the source of donations received from family members, a potential conflict of interest, and possible non-compliance with ethical standards.

The judge was assisted by his lawyer during the hearing.

During the September round of hearings, a total of eight judges were heard: six judges serving on panels specialized in handling corruption and corruption-related cases, and two judges undergoing re-evaluation.
