The Judicial Vetting Commission continues its public hearings for sitting judges and candidates for vacant positions at the Courts of Appeal. These hearings are part of the external evaluation process for certain categories of judges, conducted under Law 252/2023 on the external evaluation of judges and prosecutors. The public hearing stage offers evaluated individuals the opportunity to clarify any financial or ethical integrity concerns identified by the Commission during its verification process.
According to the established schedule, on Monday, June 16, Oxana Mironov, judge at the Court of Appeal North, and Constantin Roșca, candidate for the position of judge at the Court of Appeal Centre, are expected to appear for hearings. On Friday, June 20, the hearing of Dmitrii Fujenco, judge at the Court of Appeal South, is scheduled. The hearing of Judge Serghei Pilipenco from the Court of Appeal South, initially planned for this round of hearings, has been postponed to a later date.
The hearings will take place at the Commission’s premises, located at 75 A. Mateevici Street, Chișinău. Individuals interested in attending are kindly asked to confirm their attendance in advance via email at press@vettingmd.eu Third parties present in the hearing room will not be allowed to film, broadcast live, or take photographs. The Commission's Secretariat will record the hearings in both audio and video formats. The recordings will be published in Romanian and English on the Commission's website: www.vettingmd.eu and on its YouTube channel: Comisia de Evaluare a Judecătorilor - YouTube. Exceptions apply to closed sessions approved by the Commission at the request of the subjects.
