One more Supreme Court of Justice candidate passes external evaluation

The Judicial Vetting Commission has today submitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) its report on the assessment of Judge Ana Cucerescu, a candidate for the position of judge at the Supreme Court of Justice. Based on its findings, the Commission recommends that the candidate pass the external evaluation.

After reviewing the information collected during the evaluation process, the Commission concluded that there are no concerns regarding her financial or ethical integrity, as defined under Law No. 65/2023. Judge Ana Cucerescu recently participated in a public hearing held by the Commission.

The Superior Council of Magistracy will review the report’s findings and reasoning and decide whether to approve or reject it.

The evaluation report concerning Judge Ana Cucerescu will be published on the official website (www.vettingmd.eu) within three days following the adoption of a reasoned decision by the SCM, in line with the applicable legal and procedural framework.
