Full Commission hearing of judge Dmitrii Fujenco from the Southern Court of Appeal

The evaluation of judge Dmitrii Fujenco, from the Court of Appeal South, was referred to the full Judicial Vetting Commission under Article 33(4) of the Commission’s Rules of Organization and Functioning, after the initial panel failed to reach a consensus.

In this context, the magistrate was invited to another hearing, this time with the participation of the full Commission. The discussions focused on possible financial discrepancies for the years 2012–2013, 2015, and 2017, including donations received from family members, the use of a car, and expenses for home renovations. The Commission also requested clarifications regarding the circumstances under which the judge benefited from the use of an apartment.

Following the hearing, the Commission will adopt a report that will include the relevant facts, reasoning, and a proposal on whether or not the subject passes the evaluation. The outcome of the evaluation will be made public, and the report will be submitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy.

📜The external extraordinary evaluation is carried out based on the following principles:

a) independence of the Evaluation Commission;

b) fairness of the evaluation procedure;

c) publicity of the acts issued in the evaluation process;

d) exceptional nature of the evaluation.
