Judge Ana Panov of the Central Court of Appeal was heard again by the Judicial Vetting Commission as part of a reevaluation procedure ordered by the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM).
The repeated hearing, held before Panel B of the Commission, focused exclusively on the issues that the SCM considered problematic in its decision. The panel members (Scott Bales, Willem Brouwer, and Iurie Gațcan) asked questions regarding integrity, compliance with professional ethics standards, and the declaration regime for assets and personal interests. Additionally, judicial decisions that led to the conviction of the Republic of Moldova by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) were also discussed.
Following the hearing, the Commission will adopt a report containing the relevant facts, reasoning, and a proposal on whether the subject passes or fails the reevaluation. The result of the reevaluation will be made public, and the report will be submitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy.
