Hearing of Denis Lesnic, candidate for the Selection and Evaluation Board of Judges

Lawyer Denis Lesnic was heard by the Judicial Vetting Commission as a candidate for the position of member of the Selection and Evaluation Board of Judges within the Superior Council of Magistracy. The hearing took place as part of the external verification of financial and ethical integrity, carried out under Law No. 26/2022.

During the hearing, the Commission’s questions focused on the possible existence of unexplained assets for the periods 2010–2011 and 2023–2024, as well as issues concerning the activity of his law office and the related travel expenses.

The Judicial Vetting Commission will issue a reasoned decision on passing or failing the evaluation.

📜The evaluation of candidates for the positions of members in the self-administration bodies of judges is carried out based on the following principles:

a) independence of the Evaluation Commission;

b) fairness of the evaluation procedure;

c) publicity of the acts issued in the evaluation process;

d) exceptional nature of the evaluation.
