Hearing of Natalia Mămăligă, candidate for the position of judge at the Central Court of Appeal

Judge Natalia Mămăligă is a candidate for the position of judge at the Central Court of Appeal (formerly the Chișinău Court of Appeal) and was interviewed by the Judicial Vetting Commission as part of the external evaluation process conducted under Law No. 252/2023 on the evaluation of judges and prosecutors.

The public hearing represents the stage at which the Commission offers the evaluated individual the opportunity to respond to any integrity concerns identified during the verification process. In judge Mămăligă’s case, Panel A of the Commission, assigned to carry out her evaluation, did not identify any such concerns. During the hearing, the judge confirmed the accuracy and truthfulness of the information provided to the Commission throughout the evaluation, and no additional clarifications or supplements were deemed necessary.

Following the hearing, the panel will approve a report outlining the relevant facts, the rationale, and the recommendation on whether the subject has successfully passed the evaluation. The outcome of the evaluation will be made public, and the report will be submitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy.

c) publicity of the acts issued in the evaluation process;

d) exceptional nature of the evaluation.
