Hearing of Olga Bejenari, judge serving on specialized anti-corruption panels

Judge Olga Bejenari of the Chișinău Court was heard by Panel G of the Judicial Vetting Commission as part of the external evaluation procedure provided for by Law No. 252/2023 and in connection with her activity on the specialized panels examining corruption cases.

The hearing focused on matters related to financial and ethical integrity, including possible unjustified wealth during the 2014–2017 period and potential breaches of ethical standards in connection with the issuance of a court ruling.

At the judge’s request, certain matters were examined in a closed session in order to protect the identity of the persons involved and sensitive information.

Following the hearing, the Evaluation Panel will prepare a report setting out the relevant facts, arguments, and its recommendation on whether the judge passes or fails the evaluation. The report will be submitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy, and the outcome of the evaluation will be made public.

a) independence of the Evaluation Commission;

b) fairness of the evaluation procedure;

c) publicity of the acts issued during the evaluation process;

d) exceptional nature of the evaluation.
