Judge Corneliu Guzun, former Vice President of the Chișinău Court (Rîșcani seat), was interviewed by Panel D of the Judicial Vetting Commission as part of the re-evaluation procedure ordered by the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM).
During the hearing, the Panel examined issues related to financial and ethical integrity, including circumstances concerning potentially unjustified assets, the source of donations received from family members, a possible conflict of interest, and potential breaches of ethical standards.
The judge was assisted by his lawyer.
Following the hearing, the Evaluation Panel will prepare a report setting out the relevant facts, the arguments considered, and its recommendation on whether Judge Nogai should pass or fail the evaluation. The report will be submitted to the SCM, and the outcome of the re-evaluation will be made public.
