Judge Vasile Nogai, former president and current acting president of the Drochia Court, was heard by Panel D of the Judicial Vetting Commission as part of the re-evaluation procedure ordered by the Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM).
During the hearing, the Panel examined, among other matters, the understated prices declared for the purchase of several vehicles, certain elements related to household consumption expenditures taken into account in the financial analysis, as well as issues concerning possible unjustified wealth for the years 2013, 2015, 2018, and the period 2021–2023.
Following the hearing, the Evaluation Panel will prepare a report setting out the relevant facts, the arguments considered, and its recommendation on whether Judge Nogai should pass or fail the evaluation. The report will be submitted to the SCM, and the outcome of the re-evaluation will be made public.
With regard to ethical integrity, the judge was asked questions concerning the circumstances of potential undeclared conflicts of interest.

a) independence of the Evaluation Commission;
b) fairness of the evaluation procedure;
c) publicity of the acts issued in the evaluation process;
