Hearing of judge Veronica Cupcea, acting president of the Orhei Court

Judge Veronica Cupcea, acting president of the Orhei Court, was heard by the Judicial Vetting Commission as part of the external integrity evaluation process, conducted in accordance with Law no. 252/2023 on the evaluation of judges and prosecutors, given her leadership position.

During the hearing, the panel members requested clarifications regarding discrepancies in the evolution of her assets for several years within the evaluation period (2013, 2014, 2017, 2020, and 2022).

Following the hearing, the Panel will approve a report containing the relevant facts, the reasoning, and a recommendation regarding the promotion or non-promotion of the evaluation of the subject. The evaluation outcome will be published, and the report will be submitted to the Superior Council of Magistracy.

📜The external extraordinary evaluation is carried out based on the following principles:

a) independence of the Evaluation Commission;

d) exceptional nature of the evaluation.
