Aida-Oana Popescu has worked within the Romanian judicial system for more than two decades, successively holding the positions of judge and judicial inspector. Between 2019 and 2023, she served as a judge at the Bucharest Court of Appeal, Civil Division III for Minors and Family, and previously she worked as a judge at the Bucharest Tribunal.

Between 2008 and 2018, she held the position of judicial inspector within the Judicial Inspection of Romania, a structure coordinated by the Superior Council of Magistracy (Romania), carrying out activities involving investigations into disciplinary cases, thematic inspections, and checks regarding the integrity and professional reputation of magistrates. Prior to this period, she served as a judge at the Bucharest Tribunal and at the Judecătoria Sectorului 1 Bucharest, handling both civil and criminal cases.

She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest and completed her professional training at the National Institute of Magistracy (Romania).
